newport engagement photographer / gigi + jessy
What a fun shoot! Gigi + Jessy are truly the best. I could tell that we would be a great fit from the beginning. They were so natural and effortless in front of the lens and they have a one of a kind connection. They encourage each other and make each other laugh. After the shoot, we went out to celebrate at a nearby wine bar. What a perfect day and can't wait for their wedding. Thank you Mika from Enchanted Garden Events from styling this shoot and the stunning colorful florals by Love Note Events
Words from the bride:
We met through mutual friends while in college and eventually became best friends for about a year before we finally decided to be a couple. Gigi had asked me out 3 times before I said yes! The summer before junior year of college, we were hanging out together day in and day out. For the most part, we did everything together. With summer coming to an end, I was dying to go to a concert and found out that Lil Wayne was gonna be in Honolulu. Naturally, the two of us bought tickets and made an event out of it. By the end of the night, we came to some drunken yet powerful realizations about our true feelings for one another. The next day, we talked about it in more detail and with a clear mind and I was so happy to call her my girlfriend. I honestly cannot picture my life without Gigi in it. We compliment each other in all of the right ways and couldn't be happier together.
Something that makes us work so well is our desire and passion for traveling and exploring new things. We have been fortunate enough to travel together to many different places and share so many incredible experiences. We also love food and trying new foods! In our free time, we enjoy both cooking together and finding new food places in the area.
Something special to me about our relationship is the fact that we can grow both together and individually. We are able to constantly strive to have better communication in order to maintain a healthy relationship. One thing that I've realized is that you never understand how you can love a person more than the day before until you actually meet them.
