Alexandria Ballrooms Los Angeles Wedding

Michelle and Jason are the most amazing couple and so easy to work with. One of my favorite moments at their wedding was when they shared their personal vows with each other. I choked up listening to their journey together and love and respect for one another. Alexandria Ballrooms is one of my favorite venues. It’s so classy and grand and in the heart of downtown. I love how we went outside to get that true downtown LA vibe. I’m so excited to share this blog post with you!

Words from the bride: When looking for the perfect wedding venue, neither of us really had an idea of what we wanted. We toured beachfront venues, grassy outdoor venues, small intimate properties, artsy warehouses. Then we toured the Alexandria in Downtown LA and we knew this is the place. We are both history nerds and the history of this place is pretty unique. We loved the class and elegance of the place and that actually went with the vibe I had envisioned for my wedding. Though we didn’t have an idea of the venue at first, I was one of those girls who always knew what my wedding dress would look like. The traditional, timeless look of a long-sleeved gown and lengthy veil. If you saw it in a photo, it could be from 50 years ago or 50 years from now. I guess you can say that I actually matched our venue to the envisioned dress. The church ceremony was special because it was the church where Jason grew up in. It is a beautiful church from 1909, which perfectly complemented the Alexandria built in 1906. Suddenly, all of the pieces just kind of fell into place and came together quite beautifully. Day of the wedding was a dream. Private vows with my hubby pre-cermony was a good idea because I am a cryer. It was amazing to have our wedding day filled with intimate moments and the excitement of sharing love and positive energy with our closest family and friends, and of course, the best vendor team that made our dream a reality.
